Ok...about 30 minutes ago I sent out a text to most of the numbers in my phone address book.  The text announced my intention of branching out and starting a side business.  Most of you that know me know that I love to craft! So I thought I would finally go for it!!! So a new blog will be coming soon...be sure to check back for the link.  And keep me in mind if you are in need of a gift...for any occasion!  I would love to craft for you!

Going In Circles....

I've been working in my "new" classroom this past week, and painting lots of furniture!!! I moved my super fun desk in two days ago and my estate sale filing cabinet was moved in today!!! I bought this super old and HEAVY filing cabinet back in the spring...it was in great shape, but a really UGLY color....I did the zebra stripes and multi-colored drawer fix up job on it and I LOVE it!!!!  Bookshelves have taken up my nights and Cale's garage lately...he is so anxious to get his "space" back...all in time love, all in time:)

Delay Craft Show Start

So I am a little sad but I am having to delay my start into the world of craft shows:(  Things just got sooo crazy! My youngest sister is getting married in a little less than 4 weeks, and I am doing her bridal shower.  I have a new classroom to get together and organized before August 10th and still haven't been able to get into it yet!!! So those things coupled with a few other things led me to the decision to wait.  I do think I will try to have a little show at my house or maybe my church this coming fall. I really want to get a feel for what things will go over well, and I think this may be the right avenue for doing so.

Getting Ready 4 Back 2 School!!!

Earlier I posted about my great Craigslist find... a really cool metal desk. I bought it for 25 bucks. Well I have transformed it to make it mine! Wish I had taken a before picture...sorry. This was done with spray paint. I made the zebra stripes with masking tape strips. The polka dots were made using a rather primitive cardboard stencil...haha! I think it is going to look really cool in my classroom this year. I also made a neat little canvas to hang in my room:) Using leftover thickers and acrylic craft paints.
