So we drink a lot of coffee around this house. In fact we have started buying our coffee in bulk at our local Sam's. Now my hubby is finally {after 11 years of wedded bliss} learning to ask me if I can do something with what he would otherwise consider garbage...BEFORE tossing it out! In comes the following storage idea
I had an empty small coffee container that had been sitting around just waiting for me to do something with it. When we finished one of the larger containers Mr. Wonderful asked if I could work some magic on the {oversized} empty container. Absolutely!!!!
This is what I started with:
Plus 1 small container {not pictured}
After spray painting the containers with some left over black paint and allowing them to dry I decided to gussy them up!
I hot glued some grossgrain ribbon around the top edge, added a cutesy lil bow, and cut out a circle of patterned paper to mod podge on the lids. Then I created cute little labels and mod podged them onto a scrap of patterned paper...add a couple of dots of hot glue and viola...nice size storage containers for my {still designing it in my head} craft room...
This is the final product:

I have been wondering what I can do with those plastic coffee containers! Did you use special plastic spray paint?
Thanks for sharing your crafty talent!
No I didn't...I just used what I had on hand!
Cute! I love reusing old stuff that will otherwise be thrown away... and it turned out so well for you!
Love this! It's a great way to reuse. I keep big aluminum cans on hand to make pencil holders and mini trash cans by my sewing machine.
What a creative idea! I always throw those away...I should keep them.
I am hosting a giveaway and would love it if you checked it out!
Laura @ along for the ride

Wow! Great idea...I have the exact same coffee container - except with coffee in it, still..but now I know what to do with it when it's finished! Thanks for the idea! :)
those are great! You'd never know how ugly they were before!
Super cute! Love the recycled materials. Visiting from SDC. Hope you are enjoying your week! ~Stephanie Lynn
