I recently bought myself a Kindle {thanks to my cheer coaching money} and really wanted a cute little case/cover for it...I looked at the stores and didn't see anything that really grabbed my attention {read ugly!!!} so I turned to google and after searching for a little while I came across a tutorial by Aimee @
Home Spun Threads for a
DIY Planner Cover...I loved how cute her cover/case was and knew I WOULD be teaching myself to sew... I have not sewn a thing since my junior year of high school {a massive pair of patriotic boxers with Joe Boxer like elastic... FAIL!} I was determined this go around would be different!!!!
Here is my finished cover...I know it's not perfect, but I ADORE how it turned out and plan on making a couple more for a few friends:)

sew cute!
That is precious!!! You did a great job. I love the mix of patterns and colors, and the zig zag stitch across the middle is so cute. I used to coach cheerleading too, before I had kids. :)
Thank you so much for linking to my Weekend Bloggy Reading party. :) Hope you'll visit me at Serenity Now again soon! :)
Found your blog through my BFF. Love all your cute craftiness. And we have much in common-I've been married nearly 11 years, have 2 kids, and am a grade 5/6 teacher! :) I am your newest follower and can't wait to catch up on your blog!
Great job, I am glad you have finally jumped off into the sewing world.
That is so cute! I made a cover for my Kindle a couple of months ago and love it! I feel so proud pulling it out when I'm at the gym :) Haha!
